LET’S HEAR IT FROM THE ARTISTS

Screen.dance 2021 Artists Presentations. Parts 1–4

Curated by Simon Fildes and Iliyana Nedkova

Scotland’s festival of dance on screen est 2016. In partnership with Citymoves Dance Agency, Aberdeen since 2021

We have compiled four curated programmes of UK and international artists presentations selected from the open call to the Screen.dance 2021 festival.

Each presentation offers an opportunity to delve deeper into the artists’ practice through a livestream of a pre-recorded presentation and is followed by a live Q&A. Some of the artists prefer to include their dance films in the presentation, whilst others focus on wider issues. Often the films talked about also compete for the Screen.dance 2021 UK or International Jury Awards.

Can’t make it to these Screen.dance 2021 sessions? All artists presentations will be uploaded here, on this website, soon after their premiere alongside a growing resource of artists presentations from our earlier festival editions.

Click on the links below for dates, times and details on each of the four programmes of artists presentations.

Anna is an interdisciplinary performance artist from Bermuda. She has a BA in Modern Ballet from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and also attained a BA (Hons) in International Business and Management from Bournemouth University.  In 2012 she moved to New York after being accepted into the Joffrey Ballet Trainee programme, where she spent a year dancing through the streets, training and working with some of the most established choreographers the city has to offer including Francesca Harper and Karole Armitage.

Currently based in London, Anna’s work with The Motion Dance Collective allows her to explore her own performance and choreographic practice while promoting and creating work within the screen dance space.  She also works as the Project Coordinator for Kerry Nicholls Dance and can be found teaching yoga (300RYT) and barre classes/workshops across London and internationally.
